Lauren Laskin, formerly of Lovebug Pictures, is an award-winning wedding filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon, who blends digital, Super 8, and 16mm film to create heartfelt, immersive wedding films.
In 2024 and 2025, Lauren was awarded Oregon Wedding Day’s Best Videographer. She has been featured in publications such as Oregon Wedding Day, Green Wedding Shoes, Style Me Pretty, WedVibes, New York Times, Wedding Chicks and more.
With over a decade of experience working in video production, Lauren uses her background in documentary visual arts to inform her approach to weddings.
Lauren has filmed over 150 weddings, editing each film with care and intention to create distinctive stories that truly stand out.
Lauren has had the opportunity to travel and work all over the world, from Assam, India, to Sydney, Australia.
She received her MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and continues to work on various documentary films.
Lauren also received the Kodak Gold Award — $5,000 Tuition Scholarship Award & $5,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant.
Lauren served as a camera operator on the film Leave No Trace, available on Hulu. She also produced Siren: The Voices of Shelley Beattie (2025), exploring the life of the late deaf bodybuilder “Siren,” who starred on American Gladiators in the early 1990s, available on HBO.
