Alexa & Hunter

Alexa and Hunter’s story began in middle school, long before either could have known where their paths would lead. Through college and the years that followed, they continued on their individual journeys, yet somehow remained connected by the possibility of what might be.

“People often ask me what it was about you…why all those years later, even in college, was I still thinking about the boy from home. I would always say there’s this feeling I have with him I’ve never felt before—an energy between us that made me feel as though an invisible force was guiding us back to each other.”

That sense of inevitability became the heart of their Wind Mountain Ranch wedding, a private wedding venue near the Columbia River Gorge in Washington State. Surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Wind Mountain Ranch provided an intimate and naturally beautiful setting for Alexa and Hunter’s wedding celebration. Planned by Kelsey Timberlake, the day brought together an emotional love story, elevated wedding design, and the sweeping natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge.

For their wedding film, we combined 16mm film, Super 8, and digital footage, using each format to create a distinct visual language. The 16mm footage leans into a more editorial, cinematic aesthetic, capturing the composed beauty and atmosphere of the day, while Super 8 brings an intimate, nostalgic quality to the spontaneous moments—the laughter, movement, and fleeting in-between memories that make a wedding feel truly lived-in.

The result is a documentary-inspired wedding film at Wind Mountain Ranch, blending editorial 16mm imagery with the raw, nostalgic character of Super 8 and digital footage to tell Alexa and Hunter’s story with both intention and spontaneity.
