Madeleine and Mathew’s wedding was a multi-day California celebration that unfolded across Palm Springs and Joshua Tree, bringing together fashion, mid-century design, desert landscapes, and an eclectic mix of film formats to tell the story of their weekend.

The festivities began in Palm Springs with portraits at before an intimate dinner at Mr. Lyon’s Steakhouse, where Madeleine and Mathew gathered with their closest friends and family. The following day, guests were asked to embrace 1960s-inspired fashion for an evening modeled after the glamorous world of Palm Springs’ mid-century jet set.

Inspired by the photography of Slim Aarons, Madeleine and Mathew hosted their guests at the Twin Palms Frank Sinatra Estate, surrounded by swaying palm trees, mid-century architecture, and the estate’s iconic guitar-shaped pool. The atmosphere felt playful, glamorous, and distinctly Palm Springs — equal parts vintage California and modern fashion editorial.

The celebration continued into the desert for the couple’s wedding at the Invisible House in Joshua Tree. With its striking glass architecture set against the expansive desert landscape, the venue provided a dramatic backdrop where the desert itself became the main character. The stark beauty of Joshua Tree, paired with the couple’s highly considered sense of style, gave the wedding an unmistakably cinematic quality.

The resulting wedding film is fashion-forward and highly textural, combining digital footage with Super 8 and VHS to mirror the eclectic nature of the weekend. Rather than adhering to a single visual language, the changing formats create a tactile, nostalgic quality that moves between polished editorial imagery and something more intimate and documentary.
