About
Lauren Laskin is an award-winning wedding filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon. She holds an MFA in Documentary Arts from Duke University. Lauren has filmed over 150 weddings since 2018, editing each film with care and intention to create distinctive stories that truly stand out.
In 2024 and 2025, Lauren was honored as Oregon Wedding Day’s Best Videographer. In 2026, she was named a finalist for the same distinction, continuing a three-year recognition of her work among Oregon’s leading wedding filmmakers.
She has been featured in publications such as Oregon Wedding Day, Green Wedding Shoes, Style Me Pretty, WedVibes, New York Times, Wedding Chicks and more.
With over a decade of experience working in video production, Lauren uses her background in documentary visual arts to inform her approach to weddings. but she also offers a little direction when it serves the story. Most of the time, she’s looking for the in-between moments.
Every wedding has its own rhythm. Some are quiet and intimate; others are loud, chaotic, and wild. Lauren is adaptable, easily blends in and works closely with you and your creative team (while staying out of the way enough), so you can fully enjoy your wedding day.

Lazy C Ranch | Palm Springs, CA
A working ranch in the hills above town with roots as an Old West stagecoach stop. The Super 8 belongs here: corrals, dust, bright dresses against the desert. Paisley and Caitlin's neon ranch wedding is the proof.
Invisible House, Joshua Tree
Under an hour up Highway 62 and a common second act for a Palm Springs weekend. A mirrored box set in the boulders with a 100-foot indoor pool. At sunset the whole building turns the color of the sky, which is the shot. Lauren filmed here on Super 8 and 4K.

Yes, and most couples do. Super 8 brings the grainy, nostalgic look. 16mm is sharper with the same warmth. Digital catches the vows and toasts cleanly. Lauren plans the mix with you before the day so each format lands on the moments that suit it.

Within four to five months of the wedding, often sooner. Everything arrives in an online gallery you can download and share with family.

Coverage hours, how much Super 8 and 16mm you want, and travel. Collections start at $9,000, and Lauren sends the full pricing guide as soon as she knows your date is open.

Twelve to fourteen months ahead is the safe window. Lauren takes fifteen weddings a year, so once a date is gone it is gone. Palm Springs weekends from October to April go first. If your wedding is sooner, ask anyway. Gaps open.
